If you're having trouble logging in to your account, there may be several reasons why. Fortunately, many of these issues can be easily resolved by following the steps below. Often, it's just a small mistake that's easily overlooked.
While some of the solutions may seem obvious, such as using the correct login credentials, it's always worth double-checking before seeking further assistance. By following the steps outlined below, you may be able to solve your login problem without having to submit a support ticket.
Before following the steps below, you need to determine if your account has been temporarily locked. If you've had five failed login attempts, your account will be temporarily locked for security reasons. You will receive an email notification when your account is temporarily locked.
If your account is temporarily locked, you need to wait for one hour or follow the instructions in the notification email before you can proceed with the steps below.
Make sure you used the correct email address to create your account. Check for any spelling errors or confusion with the provider (e.g., gmail.com instead of hotmail.com).
Double-check that you've entered your password correctly. Here are some things to look out for:
It's possible you forgot that you changed your password or forgot to update your saved password on other devices. Check your email for any confirmation emails regarding a password change.
While it's not recommended, some users save their passwords in their browser. If you recently changed your password, your browser may autofill the old password instead of the new one. Copy and paste your password into notepad to ensure it's the correct one.
First, verify if you have enabled 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication). If you have not enabled 2FA, you may skip this step.
If you have 2FA enabled, make sure you're entering the correct code within the allotted time. The code expires after a set amount of time, so be sure to enter your username and password first, and then enter your 2FA code.
If you're sure you entered the correct code and are still unable to log in, perform a time sync in your 2FA app by going to settings and choosing the 'SYNC' option. Then try logging in again with your 2FA code.
Here's how to time sync your 2FA app:
1
Open your 2FA app (e.g., Google Authenticator).
2
Tap the three-dot menu icon in the top right corner of the app.
3
Select "Settings" from the menu.
4
Look for an option that says "Time correction for codes" or "Time sync" (the name may vary depending on the app).
5
Tap on that option and follow the prompts to sync the time on your device with the server that's generating the OTPs.
6
Once the time sync is complete, your 2FA app should generate accurate OTPs.
If you're unable to log in to your Txbit account for the first time, make sure you've activated your account.
If none of these steps help, try resetting your password.
